Criminal JusticeThe Criminal Justice program at Sanford-Brown is designed to provide students with a basic knowledge about the criminal justice field. Areas of study include: law enforcement, law adjudication and corrections. The student can learn the necessary skills needed to pursue entry-level positions in the criminal justice field.
Students in the Criminal Justice program should be aware that additional education may be required for certain employment positions and that agencies and institutions that accept our students for externship placements and potential employers may conduct a criminal and/or personal background check. Some agencies and employers may require candidates to submit to a drug test. Students with criminal records that include felonies or misdemeanors (including those that are drug-related) or personal background issues such as bankruptcy might not be accepted by these agencies for internship or employment placement following completion of the program.
